Cars may be rented at the Campbell River Airport and at Comox Airport after flight arrival. It is an easy 10 minute drive from the Campbell River Airport to downtown Campbell River BC and just 45 minutes from Comox to Campbell River.

If you are planning to travel to Quadra Island and Cortes Island, located between Campbell River and mainland British Columbia, there is regular vehicle ferry service available. The trip to Quadra Island is a short 12 minute ferry ride from Campbell River but Cortes Island is a scenic 45 minute ferry ride through the Discovery Islands from Quadra Island.
Quadra Island is reached by a short 12 minute ferry ride. Ferries leave Campbell River hourly, on the 1/2 hour, with two exceptions: 5:25 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. Other than that, the ferry leaves Campbell River on the 1/2 hour from 6:30 a.m. till 10:30 p.m. BC Seniors travel free Monday through Thursday except on holidays. This applies only to the passenger fare.
